Berlin: Augen Auf!

At the end of World War II, when Americans occupied a section of Berlin, the Amerika Haus was established to share American culture and politics with German citizens.   Today C/O Berlin is in the Amerika Haus building where there are exhibits like Augen Auf! (Eyes Wide Open!) sharing 100 years of Leica photography.

I had about 30 minutes to blow through the exhibit between work obligations, but I’m so glad I did!

Augen Auf! Photo #2. You already know I’m a big fan of this photograph.  What’s even more ironic is that I had on a t-shirt with this image the day I stumbled onto the Amerika Haus and the Augen Auf! exhibit.

Augen Auf! Photo #3. One of the images used to promote the event, I found myself drawn to this photograph.  I think it was because something about the woman reminded me of a brunette version of my daughter, the aspiring model.
