Berlin: Great Curassow at the Berlin Zoo
Opened in 1844, with animals donated by Frederick William IV, King of Prussia, the Berlin Zoo is the oldest zoo in Germany. It was completely destroyed during World War II, and only 91 of 3,715 animals survived including a black stork.
Native to South America and similar to a pheasant, this is a great curassow.
