Mentioned in my Shoes on the Danube and Emanuel Tree posts, Raoul Wallenberg was one of many heroes who worked hard to save Hungary’s Jews during World War II.  He had such a profound impact that there are several memorials to him throughout Budapest, including this one that I passed in a neighborhood on the Pest side of Budapest.
