Opened in 2010 as a replacement to the Paseo Bridge, the Bond Bridge is a beautiful, cable-stayed bridge across the Missouri River.  It looks especially lovely at sunset when viewed downstream so you’re facing west toward Kansas.

I love the light that the setting sun casts on the tall prairie grasses in this shot.

There was a path through the tall grass that made it relatively easy to access the rocky bank and get closer to the water’s edge.

Along the steep, rocky incline I found a rare, relatively flat spot to set up my tripod and capture the sunset.

It also looks lovely at dusk when lit in blue in support of the 2015 World Series Champion Kansas City Royals!
