Other than watching hundreds of balloons take to the New Mexico sky during the Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta back in graduate school, I haven’t really experienced a balloon festival up close until this year’s Midwest Balloon Fest.  Since I was focused on shepherding my youngest and a friend through the trick or treating aspect of the balloon glow, I didn’t have my tripod with me.  However, I think I still managed to get a few halfway decent shots from the event.
