Chinese New Year: At the Nelson-Atkins (One Thing, Three Ways)
Chinese New Year is one of five annual festivals celebrated at the Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art. For more than two decades, the museum has celebrated the event with performances, demonstrations, art, music, and food. Here are three different shots from the event held on Sunday, January 31st.
Chinese New Year Photo #1. A drummer performs in the Bloch Building before the start of a performance of the lion dance.
Chinese New Year Photo #2. Paper lanterns and paper parasols decorated the Bloch Building.
All great, but I just love the shot of the lantern. It is so delicate and lovely 😊
