Zoo Atlanta: Love Birds

I kinda wish I’d had this photo available to post up for Valentine’s Day…

Zoo Atlanta - Flamingos

Flamingo chicks are born either white or grey and take up to three years to reach their mature, colorful plumage. Feather color of either red, orange, or pink is based upon the bird’s diet of items like shrimp, algae, and plankton.
